Worlds’ Highest Wooden Gothic Alter
You can admire the tallest wooden gothic alter in Levoca, St. James Church which is 18.6 meters high, crafted by Master Paul in lime wood. It was carved at the mark of 16th century and took the mater around 10 years.

The Kremnica Mint
History of Kremnica Mint started as early as 1328 on November 17, and it is the oldest enterprise in the world which continues to produce over 670 years now. The high purity of gold and its appeal made the Kremnica mint to be the Central European currency for many countries.

Bratislava Tapestries
Showings at the Primate Palace of Bratislava tapestries are world’s most complete collection of tapestries. They were made in English Royal Manfucatory in Mortlake (near London). As early as 17th centuries this collection holds six pieces depicting scenes from the Greek Mythology of the tragic love story between the priestess Hero and a young man Leander. These world’ best preserved tapestries were designed by Franz Cleyn, which reflected inspirations from Flemish and Italian mannerist painting. The Primate’ palace is seen to be the most beautiful Classicist buildings of Bratislava, which was designed by Hungarian architect Melchior Hefele.

Highest Sinter Column in the world
Close to the village of Krasnohorska Dlha Luka, northern edge of Silicka planina plateau in the Slovak Karst you will see one of the most interesting Krasnohorska cave. Why is it so interesting? Well, it holds the unique 34 meters high dripstone column, which is the tallest stalagmite in the moderate climate zone. If you have followed the Guinness book of World records, the dripstone of Roznava speleologists have its worthy mention till date.

Mining Academy
Can you name the first technical university in the world? And where was it established? Yes, the mining Academy founded by Maria Theresia was the first ever technical university, which made its foundation in Banska Stiavncia of Slovakia, in the year 1762. This highly honored university was the hub of mining science and technical development in Europe.

First Horse Railway building
The building of the first horse railway in the kingdom of Hungary connecting Bratislava with Svaty Jur is one of the oldest railways buildings in the world.

Tatra Chamois
Go for the Tatra Mountains to Slovakia and discover one of the unique creations of earth. A subspecies of the chamois of Rupicapra genus, the Tatra Chamois nestles in the midst of the picturesque Tatra Mountains in Slovakia and Poland. But they are different from its distant siblings from the Alps, being isolated for many years after the ice age. These endangered species remain strictly under protection being only 1000 pieces in number.
