Best Bratislava Transport Accessibility In Slovakia

By Train
My trip was taking me from Prague down to Budapest and then back again. On the way south, I opted to go via Vienna. On the way back north, I thought I’d stretch my legs in Bratislava. When I looked at going direct to Prague, the discount fair was reasonable

By Bus
Cheapest oneway ticket (bus): Slovak Lines first bus leaving from Suedtirolerplatz (get there with S1, S9, U1, tram O and 18) at 8 arriving via Vienna airport at 9.45, last bus at 19.25 arriving at 21, €7.70 (student 6.90):

Blaguss Slovakia to Vienna Erdbergerstrasse (get there with U3) via Vienna Airport, Bratislava Nový Most and Petržalka Einsteinova, € 10, last bus from Airport 22.45, first bus from Erdberg 6.30 arriving 7.45 at the airport: Cheapest retur nticket (train, this price only from Bratislava): by citybus 61 to Bratislava Hl. then by train to Vienna Ostbahnhof (S1, S9, tram O, D and 18) last train leaving 22.41 arriving 23.37; total cost €12.

MHD/Public Transport
The easiest way to get to or from the airport is to take the bus, line 61.The first bus in the morning leaving the airport is at 04.45, the last in the evening leaving at 23.25.The first one in the other direction leaves the main station at 04.45, the last one in the evening is at 23.05.The buses runs daily.

By Boat
Along the Danube, you’ll notice these large tourist-oriented cruise boats. You can arrange an evening cruise or even a more extended cruise, but many require booking at least a week in advance. Prices are relatively inexpensive to similar services that I’ve seen elsewhere in Europe.

By Plane
“Letisko Milana Rastislava Štefánika” (BTS), or shorten “Letisko M. R. Štefánika” is located 10 miles north east of Bratislava. The airport is the largest and the main airport in the Slovak Republic. Bus 61 links the airport to Bratislava’s main train station every 15 minutes. Taxis are located in front of the arrivals hall. Sky Europe is a plucky little airline that offers dirt cheap flights around Europe and will get you here safely. The air crews are friendly and the flights are short. You don’t get any real service, but you pay very little. Give these folks a fly to here or Vienna! You could stay in a better hotel with the money you save.

Getting Around the Slovakia
If you think your capable of driving in another country, then do so! This gives you a chance to see the beautiful back country where the scenic country villages are located, where life goes on at a slow place. Before heading to Slovakia to drive your hire car, you need to know the road rules for that country. It isn’t just Slovakia, but the whole of continental Europe who drives on the right side of the road.
